Fruit production is an important component of horticulture, contributing significantly to food security, nutrition, and farmers' livelihoods. However, fruit growers today face several challenges, including climate change, water scarcity, labor shortages, rising production costs, and increasing pest and disease incidences. To overcome these challenges and improve productivity, modern fruit cultivation is increasingly adopting advanced technologies, giving rise to the concept of Smart Orchards.
